Cora: Backend Development for an Organic Body Care Brand

About Cora

Cora is a direct-to-consumer body care brand that makes organic tampons, pads, liners, menstrual cups, and discs. Beyond selling products, the company runs a social impact program — with every purchase, they provide period products and body literacy resources to people who might otherwise go without. Since 2016, they've donated over 10 million pads and helped provide reproductive health education to thousands of girls in Kenya and India.

Our contribution

We joined Cora's team for a focused backend engagement, helping support the systems behind their e-commerce platform and subscription service. The work was short-term and targeted — the kind of engagement where you step into an existing codebase, understand the business context quickly, and deliver value without disrupting existing workflows.

We worked on backend services that support their product catalog, subscription management, and order processing — the infrastructure that keeps a growing D2C brand running smoothly.

A brand worth supporting

What stood out about working with Cora wasn't just the technical challenge. It was working alongside a team that genuinely cares about their mission. Every engineering decision connects back to getting products into the hands of people who need them — both paying customers and the communities they support through their impact program.
